Another ‘modify the mage’ sigil. Damn good results too.

Some good news and bad news
The bad news first:
I’m re-assessing the value and future use of this tumblr. Right now, I seem to have lost interest in maintaining this site as-is. I need to venture beyond sigil magick, and people have also generally lost interest in the lack of inherent creativity of it. I think sigil magick has a lot more potential that what people have been doing, but I don’t have the patience, will, time, or resources to try to change that.
The good news is that I’ll still be around tumblr, though my presence will be greatly diminished. I’ll be here often enough to approve submissions and things like that.I won’t however be doing much beyond that.
I have a lot in mind that I want to do, like create another forum. Right now, however, I need to concentrate on other things. I have a lot of work to do. If you want to contact me, you can use my email.
I’ll see you guys around.

State Of The Dis-Union (my current thoughts on the state of modern Chaos Magic(K) )
I talked about this particular subject early in the facebook group’s history. Unfortunately, there isn’t a way to look at posts earlier than a certain time without scrolling down for forever. (The search utility only goes back so far. Humph). My current rambling reflects a few talks I’ve had with friends about this.
I like to think that sigil magick as a practice has stagnated to pretty much the same tactics as of late. Sigils usually are usually one of the following, from most common to least:
1) pictorial
2) musical
3) literary
The first of which has it’s obvious limits, though wide. A pictorial sigil is usually only limited by the person’s imagination. Most of the time, however, at least from what I’ve found in the whole existence of my tumblr Garden Of Chaos, it’s limited to crude line drawings rather than anything ornate and detailed.
Musical sigils have thusfar been techno, audio cut-ups, perhaps even with the sigil being in actual lyrics. I’ve been disappointed in the lack of exploration by magicians of traditional music theory and it’s rich complexity. Music has profound effects on the human psyche and is probably one of the only universal gateways to the subconscious. When you have access to the subconscious, you can do some powerful stuff. I see a lot of potential with this, huge even, but it’s not even been touched on.
Literary sigils, most often called Hypersigils, are probably one of the most talked about yet the most rarely done. Grant Morrison made them popular but left the subject so open that people didn’t know where to start. How unusual that Chaotes need a guiding hand to take advantage of a concept.
But at what point do modern Chaotes need to stop obsessing over sigil magick and start exploring & growing from other types of magic or spiritual systems? What we should be doing is actively encouraging innovation instead of yapping on and on about the same old thing.
Chaos Magic needs a defibrillator, and quick.

Sorry about the poor quality, but this is my “cellphone servitor” I created as an experiment a couple of days ago. Click the photo or download this “.zip” file to read more about my, “Cellular Servitor Experiment” :)
This sounds really interesting. I’ll have to look more into it.
